Napoli manager, Rafael Benitez has revealed that he had not been contacted by Manchester City over the possibility of replacing Manuel Pellegrini at the Ethiad stadium.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea manager, whose current deal is due at the end of this season has been linked with a move away from the Serie A side, but the Spaniard has denied the rumour.
Man City, who are currently on the 4th position on the premier league table have been mounting pressure on Manuel Pellegrini to deliver else he would be sack.
When asked if he had rejected a new deal with Napoli in order to move to the Etihad Stadium, he told reporters: "I haven't said no to Napoli. I haven't had any contact with Manchester City. I'm a professional, I'll see what happens, but I have to talk to the club." sportsmole
Benitez arrived in Italy in 2013 after helping Chelsea to a successful Europa League campain.
