Kelechi Iheanacho may have missed out of the Flying Eagles build up towards the 2015 FIFA U-20 world cup in New Zealand, but the 18 year-old Manchester city forward has announced his arrival to U-20 camp scoring three goals telling Brazil that they may have won the championship five times, they are in for a showdown on June 1.
Iheanacho missed out of the Super Six championship in Abuja as well as the African Youth Championship which the Manu Garba's side won with class.
Manu played Iheanacho behind Taiwo Awoniyi and Isaac Success and opened scoring for what looked like the starting XI for Monday’s showdown against Brazil with a superb, left-footed, half-volleyed goal from the top of the box.
“It was pure magic!” saluted NFF executive committee member Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’.
“What a goal! Iheanacho is something special,” praised Fernando Zurro, who came down to do special interviews with the team for FIFA TV.
The 18-year-old forward will go on to fire two more goals past Olorunleke Ojo. Isaac Success grabbed a brace as he displayed his all-action style, while Taiwo Awoniyi completed the routing. NFF
