Werder Bremen signs Anthony Ujah on a four-year deal

Nigerian international, Anthony Ujah has completed a four year deal to join Werder Bremen in the next football season for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old FC Cologne striker who celebrated one of his goals for his side dragging the club's goat scored 10 goals in the Bundesliga this season and earned recall to the Nigeria national team.

The former Warri Wolves player joined Cologne from Mainz in 2013 where his contract was supposed to run till 2017, but Bremen are looking to replace Davie Selke with the Nigerian. 

The 20-year-old German will leave for Austrian side RB Leipzig at the end of the season. 

Bremen sporting director Thomas Eichin said: "We have watched him intensively and for a long time to get the whole picture of him. He is a fast and dangerous striker who can still develop here."

While Cologne are placed 11th on the league, Bremen are seventh and are hunting for a place in the Uefa Europa League next season. Goal
