Ahead of the June 13 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Chad, Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, picked eight home based players from the initial twenty-six invited to camp.
The 2013 Afcon winning coach said that the selected home-based players would be joined by the fifteen invited foreign based professionals for the final phase of preparations for Nigeria's opening 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kaduna next weekend.
The former Togo and Mali boss told the players who were dropped not to be discouraged but to work harder to keep themselves among the pool of players that could be called up for future national team assignments.
