World number, Serena Williams has won the 2015 edition of the French Open title on Saturday following her victory over Lucie Safarova.
This weekend's victory for the American made it three Roland Garros titles and her 20th Grand Slam singles trophy of her career.
The Serena sister beat Safarova 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-2 on Philippe-Chatrier Court to draw close to meeting Steffi Graf's professional record of 22 major titles, and not far behind Margaret Court's all-time mark of 24.
Safarova, playing her first Grand Slam final, led by a break in the decider but Williams won the last six games.
The 33-year-old becomes the third player - male or female - to win 20 major singles titles
And she was simply a class above Safarova.
