FC Barcelona have signed Turkish midfielder, Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid in a five-year deal worth £29 million.
The current UEFA champions league winners will pay £24m upfront and £5m in add-ons for the Turkish international, who has signed a five-year deal.
The Spanish La Liga champions reached an agreement with Atletico and the player will be ineligible to play for his new club before their transfer ban is lifted in January.
The deal has been done by Barca's interim hierarchy ahead of the presidential election later this month, and it includes provision to sell the player back to Atletico before July 20 if the incoming board so wishes.
Turan leaves Atletico after four years, during which time he won the Spanish title and reached the final of the Champions League.
The 28-year-old is Barca's second summer signing following the transfer of Aleix Vidal from Sevilla. Skysports
