Nigeria To Kick-start Their 2018 Fifa World Cup Qualifiers In November


The world football governing body, FIFA have confirmed that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will commence their 2018 world cup qualifiers in later this year.

The Nigerian contingent crashed out of the last edition in Brazil at the second round, after losing to France in the second round on the South American soil.

Meanwhile, Fifa confirmed that Nigeria will not be among the first 26 countries that will battle for qualification for 13 spots required to go through to the second round.

The 13 qualified countries will then join Nigeria and 25 other countries in the second round, where they will be grouped into 20.

Finally, five finalists will qualify for the 2018 edition of the Fifa world cup, staging in Russia.

Nigeria's opponent for the November world cup qualifiers will be disclosed after the first round of qualifiers among the 26 highlighted countries.
