FC Ifeanyiubah right back, Chibuzo Okonkwo, has declared was on his former club, Heartland ahead of the Wednesday's Nigeria Professional Football League clash.
Heartland FC of Owerri will welcome the newly promoted side to the NPFL on match day 15, and the 26 year old right full back has said that his knowledge of the club will give his side an edge over them.
The NPFL newcomers are 5th on the NPFL league table with 23 points from 14 games while their opponent, Heartland closely followed with 22 points from 14 games already played this season.
“Tomorrow (Wednesday) match against Heartland in Port Harcourt is a must-win clash for us.
“The fact that both sides are playing the match on away ground will certainly work to our advantage.
“Heartland are a side I know inside out having spent a reasonable amount of years at the Owerri-based side, so I will do everything in my power to ensure we grab the three points at stake.
“The side may have changed few hands as well as coaches but the playing pattern will not have changed completely so my knowledge of the side will prove decisive in the game.
“We need the three points badly to cushion the negative effect of the points we conceded at the weekend to Wikki Tourists.
“The shocking home defeat was a huge setback to our aspiration to contest the top spot on the league log.
“The draw will be unacceptable to us in the encounter though Heartland are expected to come out hard but we are determined to claim the whole points,” said the former Enugu Rangers strongman to supersport.com.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) debutants are fifth on the 20-team log on 23 points, four points behind leaders Wikki Tourists. Africanfootball
