Sunshine Stars of Akure maintains their leadership at the summit of the Nigeria professional Football league with a 2-0 home victory over 16th place Bayelsa United on match-day 17.
The Akure Gunners took advantage of Enyimba's loss to affirm their leadership with one point ahead of Wikki Tourist, who displaced the Peoples' Elephant in the second place while the two-time CAF champions league occupies the third spot with three points behind league leaders, Sunshine.
