Manu Garba, who was supposedly appointed as the new head coach of Giwa FC football club according to the club has denied the claims.
The Nigeria Professional Football League side earlier on Thursday announced via their official Twitter handle that the former U-20 coach has met with the players on wednesday.
But the 2015 CAF African Youth Championship winning coach admitted that some NPFL club want his services but insisted he won't join any club that will not give him total control.
"Congratulations about what? No, I have not joined Giwa. It is not true. I have made it categorically known to any team that wants to have me about what I want," Garba told Goal.
"I will not join any team where I will not be in control. I must have powers to make recruitment and take other critical decisions," he continued.
When asked about his introductory meeting with the team, Garba refused to respond but insisted he has 'not joined any team'.
Giwa FC, who will welcome Sharks on Sunday at the Rwang Pam Stadium, are fifth on the NPFL log with 46 points after 29 games. Goal
