Moses Is A Great Asset For Us- West Ham Manager

West Ham United manager, Slaven Bilic, has described Nigeria's Victor Moses as a great asset to his side following his performance against Manchester City on Saturday.

Moses, who is on loan at West Ham struck in the sixth minute in his side's 2-1 victory over City while Diafra Sakho doubled the lead after 31 minutes.

City’s record signing Kevin De Bruyne fired in to halve the deficit, but the visitor held on to claim three points.

Bilic hailed 24-year-old Moses for his contribution to the success of the team since he joined them from Chelsea on loan.

“I am glad for Moses. He is a great asset for us and we are just pleased to have him,” Bilic was quoted as saying on the West Ham United official website.

He added, “They created some chances and in the second half they were fighting like a unit from the goalkeeper to the last man.

“At times we were lucky but you have to be when you are winning at their (Man City) stadium. They are such a massive team.

“They are by far the best team we have played so far but we were able to control their pressing and we are so happy about it,” he said.

The win lifted West Ham United up to third on the standings with 12 points from six matches.

Meanwhile, Nigeria striker Sylvester Igbonu scored a consolation goal for his Russia club FC Ufa when they lost 4-1 at Terek Grozny in a league game, AfricanFootball.com reports.

He is one of 24 players invited on Friday by coach Sunday Oliseh to Eagles for the two friendly games against Congo and Cameroon.

Igbonu scored in the 69th minute to give Ufa hope of getting a positive result in Saturday’s game at 2-1, but the hosts scored two more goals to seal their victory.
