Super Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf has maintained that the home based Super Eagles must not jubilate now until they have qualified for the 2016 CHAN championship in Rwanda.
Nigeria beat Burkina Faso 2-0 in one of last weekend's qualifiers in Port Harcourt for next year's African Cup of Nations championship for home based players across the African continent.
But Yusuf is refusing to get carried away by his side's victory and are hoping to complete a double against the Stallions.
“We already told the players what we want and they are aware that we can only jubilate after the return leg in Ouagadougou,” Yusuf told Goal.
“They have been told that there is still so much to play for and that they must ensure that the boast of the Burkina Faso coach does not come to pass.
“They played very well against us but our boys too did their best and would have scored more goals with a little luck,” he concluded.
The winner on aggregate will qualify for the next year’s African Nations Championship billed for Rwanda in 2016. Goal
