Luis Suarez Scored Twice As Barcelona Are Crowned World Champions

FC Barcelona have claimed their third FIFA club world title after beating River Plate in the final of the championship in Yokohama.

Messi scored first in the 36th minute from a close range after returning from a slight injury which prevented him from playing in the semi finals of the tourney, while Luis Suarez scored the second and third respectively in the 49th and 62nd minutes of the game, and went ahead to win the Most Valuable Player of the tournament with 5 goals in all.

Suarez also equaled the five goal record Lionel Messi had set in the championship, while Barcelona become the world champions for the third time.

The club world cup is the 5th title Barcelona have won in the outgoing year, after missing out of the Super Cup earlier in the season.
