Can Zlatan Ibrahimovic Keep This Momentum All Season Long???

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's brace gave Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho his second straight win in the 2016/17 premier league season following their 2-0 victory over Southampton at the Old Trafford on Friday night.

The Swede international got his first of the night through a superb nodding in the 36th minute and then sealed the victory for the Red Devils in the 52nd minute, bringing his premier league goal tally to three in two games.

No doubt that with the new and rejuvenated United will give every club a run for their money this season, but how will the over-thirty players in the squad fair when the real competition starts.

The first Manchester derby is about twenty days away, where Mourinho, and Pep Guardiola, the new manager of City renew their rivalry where they left it off in Spain.

Except for Arsenal, all the top clubs won their first game last weekend, and this is an indication that the title chase this season will be more heated up than it used to be, and Mourinho had better
understand that if he makes other players match-rusty while he keeps playing a set of players, the time will come when the unserviced tools will fail to lift you when you needed them.

Yes, Ibra is firing on all cylinders at the moment, but other strikers shouldn't be relegated on the account of that, 'cos he might be needing them when the chips are down.

I can't say where United will end this season, but with the quality of players they've got, they will obviously be gunning for a champions league slot next season, and possibly be closer to lifting the EPL.

The arrival of the 34-year old has forced the likes of Adnan Januzaj to join former manager, David Moyes at Sunderland because he wants more playing time and an avenue to develop.

It is no doubt the experience Zlatan brings to United but that doesn't mean that the younger players must be sacrificed for his coming- Mourinho must learn fast how to manage these younger players and keep them in the squad, cos who knows when they might be needed.
