Kelechi Iheanacho Plays Down Injury Scare; Says He's Fine Now

Manchester City youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho, has revealed that he is fine despite being stretched off the pitch in his side's 1-0 win over Steaua Bucharest in their champions league play-off on Wednesday night at the Ethiad stadium.

Fabian Delph's 56th minute goal was the difference in the second leg, after City had won the first leg 5-0 away from home a week before.

The Nigerian international, who assisted in one of City's goals last weekend in the English Premier League was taken out in the 76th minute of the encounter, but the 19 year old says he's fine now and will be ready for action over the weekend.

Iheanacho expressed excitement City will be playing in the champions league after qualifying on a 6-0 aggregate over Steaua Bucharest and also thanked everyone for their concern and heartfelt messages.

@kelechi72: "Great result for the team today. Very pleased we've qualified for the #ECL group stages. Thank you everyone for your messages."

"I'm pleased to inform you all that am okay #mcfc"

Iheanacho is one of the 23 players invited by new Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, for the Tanzania Afcon qualifiers next month.
