NPFL: 3SC's Ojukwu Targets Three Points At Onikan Stadium

Ifegwu Ojukwu has disclosed that Shooting Stars of Ibadan will be coming to cart all three points away from their Nigeria Professional Football league game against Ikorodu United on Sunday.

Apart from three NPFL games, the game between the Oga Boys and the Oluyole Warriors is the only
league game on Sunday, and the former Ikorodu United has said it was nice returning to Onikan stadium.

Ikorodu are sitting at the bottom of the NPFL log with 18 points from 25 league games, apparently, it will take a miracle for them to keep a spot in the Nigerian topflight, but Shooting shot themselves out of the relegation zone last weekend, after the narrow 2-1 win over Sunshine Stars in the Southwest derby in Ibadan.

Ojukwu was part of the Ikorodu team that lost 2-0 to the Gbenga Ogunbote side in the first stanza of the league in Ibadan.

"Firstly, I’m excited coming to Lagos to play former side, Ikorodu United on familiar turf, Onikan Stadium in Lagos."

"I count the opportunity a rare privilege to come to show myself to Lagosians and teeming supporters."

"It’s a wonderful occurrence and I’m happy to partake in the competitive football exercise."

"All we hope for is outright victory over former side and newcomers, Ikorodu United on Sunday."

"Of course, I will not celebrate our victory, I will not also celebrate my goal(s) as I’m definite going to score."

"I know the encounter will be difficult for both sides but we are determined to eke out something positive for ourselves."

"Already, I have received several calls from Lagos not to show up for the match to me it’s all fun as I’m here flesh and blood to play my own role as core professional for my new side, 3SC," said the former Ikorodu United marksman to supersport

The Ibadan outfit are 14th on the top-flight log on 36 points 12 adrift league leaders, Enugu Rangers.
