Barely 24-hours after Chelsea agreed a deal to sign Colombian Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina in a deal worth £24.8 million in addition with Mohammed Salah joining the Italian side on loan, the Premier League leaders have  sealed a deal with Wolfsburg for Andre Schurrle in a deal close to €30 million (£22.5m).

The 24-year-old, who was a member of the FIFA world cup winning team in Brazil last year will sign a contract until 2019 with the Bundesliga club.

The deal has not pull through because Chelsea believe the offer from the German club is below their desire fee for Schurrle - who joined for £18m from Bayer Leverkusen in 2013.

Germany World Cup winner Schurrle has only started five Premier League game for his side this season and the number may continue slip if he remains with the Blues.

His last appereance for the Blues came as a late substitute in their 5-0 Premier League win at Swansea on January 17.

Elsewhere, Wolfsburg have sent striker Ivica Olic to Hamburg on a permanent deal.

The 35-year-old was one of the club's biggest earners and his move will help free funds for the Schurrle deal.

Inter Milan are also pushing to sign Manchester United's Anderson who has been away from the club on loan. Goal
