The Black Stars of Ghana head Coach, Avram Grant, has described the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Equitorial Guinea as one the best with high quality of performances from players and teams.

The four-time African champions are through to the tourney's semi finals after beating Guinea 3-0 in their quarter final game last weekend.

The former Chelsea tactician revealed that the championship has given some unknown players to shoot themselves into the public light.

“I can say that there is a lot of talent here in this competition, very good players and quality in the highest level and I am even very happy with the quality of players that nobody knows about yet”

“The quality of the player and play is good; there have been many good and quality games in the competition so far and you cannot take that away”

The tournament that started with 16 nations have been reduced to 4 after 12 crashed out, leaving the remaining 4 to battle for the two final slots including hosts, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Ivory Coast and DR Congo.

The Black Stars last won the AFCON title back in 1986 and Grant will feel he has the squad that will challenge for the title this time around.
