Fernando Torres tops the list of best signings during the winter transfer window which closed earlier this week.

The following players who were part of the poll moved from one club to another and they are Ivory Coast’s Wilfried Bony, who moved to Manchester City from Swansea City, Andre Schurrle moved to Wolfsburb from Chelsea, Xherdan Shaqiri also left Bayern Munich but fans rated Torres’ Atliti move as the best in January.

Europe's governing body said that 50 million fans took part in the poll before releasing its results this Wednesday.

The poll's main conclusion was that Fernando Torres's return to Atlético de Madrid was considered the best deal of the January transfer window.
The Spanish international left the Vincent del Caldron in 2003 for Liverpool, where he won a champions league title with the club in 2005.

UEFA stated, "During an emotional farewell before joining Liverpool, Torres said: 'I hope this isn't a goodbye, but a see you later'. Seven and a half years later, the Spaniard returned home and has already made his mark. Torres may already be 30 years old, but he will also be 'El Niño' to Atleti fans".

Making his mark obviously refers to the three goals he has scored since returning to Atleti, two against their cross-city rivals at the Santiago Bernabéu and one during Barcelona's trip to the Vicente Calderón. Marca
