Black Stars of Ghana head coach, Avram Grant has said that his side are getting better as they progress in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Equitorial Guinea.

Ghana defeated Guinea 3-0 in their quarter final game last weekend, progressing to the tourney's semi finals to face the host country, Equitorial Guinea, who will enjoy massive support from their fans.

The Ghanaian side are known as slow starters in their games, but afetr losing to to Senegal 1-2 in Group C  opening campaign, they have won their next three games at the ongoing championship.

The team sealed a classy 3-0 win on Sunday against a lacklustre Guinea, after which Grant made the observation.

"I felt the team continued with the good attitude and mentality and that was the basis of all we did and the players showed a lot of quality and for me, that was important," the Israeli said post-match.

"This is not a team we built for just one match and in every game, we have showed an improvement from the previous one. This is a good indication of the players and how the team is doing."

An early tap in and then a stunning long ranger from Christian Atsu came before Kwesi Appiah gave the Black Stars the win which sees them into the semis.

"We played very well on the day. It was quarter final against a very good team but we closed them down and did not let them play their game."

The former Chelsea tactician said that his side took the game to their opponent, not allowing them to play their game which helped them with the comfortable victory over the Guineans. supersport
