Brazil cancels proposed Super Eagles friendly

The proposed March 29 international friendly to be organised by the Nigeria Football Federation as part of the rebuilding process to re-install the glory of the Super Eagles may have been cancelled as the Brazillian FA have confirmed interest in playing fellow South Americans, Chile.

The AFCON defending champions which failed to defend their title in Equitorial Guinea had already play two friendly games against Ivory Coast and Yemen national side in January, losing one and winning the other.

The friendly game against the Selecao, which has been scheduled to take place at the newly built Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo  is a plot to keep the Eagles active and also relevant in the FIFA rankings since the African champions failed to appear at the venue for the ongoing AFCON tournament.

The Selecao will meet Chile's national team at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium in London, the Brazil Global Tour has confirmed, the NFF have not confirmed this new development.

Akwa Ibom State governor Godswill Akpabio had last year during the inauguration of the 'Nest of 'Champions' stadium announced the high profile between the two countries which NFF President Amaju Pinnick confirmed in December 2014.

It is left to see what the football house will do to get a game for the Super Eagles on the Fifa date if they officially confirmation it's cancellation.
