Head of Nigeria’s delegation to the 2015 AYC Championship in Niger, Dr Mohammed Sanusi has assured that the Golden Eaglets’ are in good shape for the third place game against Guinea.
The Emmanuel Amunike-led U-17 lost 0-1 to the Amajimbo’s of South Africa in their semi finals game on Wednesday, but have already qualified for the FIFA U-17 world Cup later in the year.
Sanusi said that the Eaglets’ have had their final training session and set for tomorrow’s losers final.
“The mood is okay and the players are ready for the match, there’s no problem what so ever.
“The Coaches have spoken to the boys, the team have been training and preparing well for the 3rd place match,” Sanusi said.
Guinea also lost to Mali 1-2 to set up a third place game against Nigeria who lost 0-1 to South Africa in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
The Nigeria Football Federation though expressed disappointment with the defeat to the Amajimbo but have thrown their weight behind the Coaching crew of the Eaglets.footballlive
