The Super Eagles remains the 45th best team in the world and 8th best team in Africa according to the latest FIFA rankings which was released earlier today of their website.
The 2013 champions of the African Cup of Nations dropped four spots to their current position in April due to their woeful performances against Uganda and South Africa in FIFA friendly games played in March.
Meanwhile, the Algerian national team are still adjudged the best team in Africa, while moving one spot up to occupy the 20th position on the ranking table.
Cote d’Ivoire are second in Africa and ranked 23rd in the world followed by Ghana who are 26th in the world.
The top 17 positions are unaltered from last month, which means that Germany (1st, unchanged) continue to lead the way ahead of Argentina (2nd, unchanged) and Belgium (3rd, unchanged).
