Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has disclosed that winning the 2015/16 English Premier League title remains their target.
The Emirate side last won their EPL title in 2004, when the side went unbeaten for almost all the games in the season.
The Gunners, who have only signed Petr Cech in the transfer window finished third in 2014-15, 12 points behind eventual champions Chelsea and ended the season strongly as they lifted the FA Cup for a second consecutive year.
"[The title] is our target and we feel we have a chance in a very competitive league. We are not far [away],” he said at a press conference.
Meanwhile, Wenger has confirmed that Yaya Sanogo will leave the club on loan this season, with Ajax closing in on securing his signature.
"He will go on loan, I believe he needs to play,” he said. “He's ready and he'll get an opportunity to play in the Champions League." isoccerng
Meanwhile, former France international, Thiery Henry has said that his former coach will need to sign four quality player to give Chelsea and other clubs in the title chase, a run for their money.
"That team, I think, has great mentality, top-quality players and match-winners. I still think they need four players to get closer to Chelsea,” he told Sky Sports.
“I compare it to my generation. I knew, for example, when I first arrived at Arsenal that if I was not performing after an hour, Dennis Bergkamp was on the bench sometimes or Kanu or Sylvain Wiltord or Davor Suker. Whoever it was, I knew I had an hour to perform.”
"Olivier Giroud alone there as a natural-born striker, it is difficult, because they say when he does not score, it is very difficult,” he added.
“Hopefully Theo Walcott could be the answer. You have a guy who you did not think was going to play as a striker, although he has been the talk of the town for a little while, him playing as a striker.
"You know some people still question Arsene Wenger, but I still think that Arsene has the right attitude and fire; the fire in his belly to try to make sure that team can win another title."
