AAG 2015: KV Oostende Stops Godwin Saviour From Joining Dream Team VI

Flying Eagles forward, Godwin Saviour has wished the Nigerian U-23 national team success in the forthcoming All African Games championship staging in Congo Brazaville next month.

The 19 year old forward, who got two goals at this year's FIFA U-20 world cup joined KV Oostende this month and he his release to return to the country to join the Dream Team VI has been turned down a request by the the Belgium side.

“I would have loved to feature at the All Africa Games for my country, but my club have stopped me,” the forward told AfricanFootball.com

“All the same, I wish the team the very best and I am confident they will come out victorious because we have a great team of players and coaches.”

This Nigeria Football Federation sent an invitation letter to Saviour’s club this week on Samson Siasia's request but was denied, adding that the Portuguese club of Shehu Abdullahi have also refused to release the midfielder for the AAG, leaving Turkey-based skipper, Azubuike Okechukwu and Umar Aminu to join the squad of players from the domestic league directly in Congo.
