Nigeria Professional Football League defending champions, Kano Pillars have announced the signing of Flying Eagles central defender, Zaharadeen Bello from Dabo Academy.
The 2013 FIFA U-17 world cup winner snubbed a Portuguese second division club to join struggling Pillars to help them improve their performance on the log, even if they fail to defend their title successfully.
“We have signed Zaharadeen Bello,” confirmed Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa.
The youngster also helped the Manu Garba led side clinch the 2015 African Youth Championship in Senegal and also reached the knockout stage of the FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
Originally a defensive midfielder, “Baggio” makes up for his lack of pace and athletic prowess in the heart of the defence with his intelligence and composure. AfricanFootball
