Sunshine Stars of Akure have reclaimed the leadership of the Nigeria Professional Football League after spanking Sharks of Port Harcourt 2-0 in week 21 fixtures.
The Akure Gunners striker, Tunde Adeniji has also taken the top scorer spot in the league with 12 goals after he scored in his team's 2-0 win over Sharks in a Week 21 game on Thursday.
Adeniji was involved with the Nigeria's Flying Eagles earlier this year has 12 goals in the ongoing season, closely followed by Heratland's Bright Ejike with 11 goals.
Warri Wolves striker Gbolahan Salami and Abia Warriors Chisom Chikata have nine goals each.
Shuaibu Ibrahim (Giwa), Ndifreke Effiong (Abia Warriors), Esosa Igbinoba (Nasarawa United) and Ibrahim Mustapha (El Kanemi) have each fired eight goals.
