Emmanuel Amunike Commends Flying Eaglets For Beating Brazil In Korea

The coach of the national U-17, Emmanuel Amunike has commended his wards after beating Brazil 2-1 on Friday in a four-nation invitational tournament in Korea.

The Emmanuel Amunike led boys were held to a 1-1 draw in their first game against host nation, Korea but the coach said his team had improved after their first game.

First half strikes from Kingsley Michael and Chukwudi Agor  were all the Golden Eaglets needed to subdue Carlos Amadeu’s boys at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, though Brazil pulled one back courtesy of David Enogela’s second half own goal.

"My boys played like a team and it's obvious that we are making progress by the day."

We are going to justify the resources that have been invested on us through the process of building up to the championship,"

We have put behind us the disappointment of the AYC in Niger and we are going to defend the title to the best of our knowledge and God will help us" Brila fm

Nigeria are defending champions of the FIFA U-17 world cup, winning it in 1985, 1993, 2007 and 2013.
