Nigeria Professional Football League all-time highest goal scorer, Mfon Udoh may join the 2015 CAF Confederation cup winners, Akwa United.
The Promise Keepers stunned Lobi Stars 2-1 in November to win their first ever title, as well as qualify for the continental championship which kicks off next year.
Akwa are also planning to hired the services of former Ikorodu United coach, Maurice Cooreman, to help them succeed in the continent.
They are also plotting to raid Bassey Akpan, Ubong Ekpai, Kufre Ebong including Mfon Udoh, who have all signified intention to return to their home town club and assist them next season.
“Expectations are high that we are going to make meaningful impact in Africa and we are witnessing the influx of professional players to our training ground including some of our former players who have signified intention to play again for us,” Ekoh told Goal.
“Mfon Udoh has arrived from Enyimba and Kufre Ebong has come in from Warri Wolves. We also have Ubong Ekpai who left us for Kano Pillars and Bassey Akpan another home grown is also training with us.
“I can confirm to you that nothing has been made official about these players but expectations are high that they are going to join us to give us the necessary experience on the continent,” Ekoh said.
Akwa United would be playing their first friendly match on Wednesday morning without the four players as the head coach has earmarked the game to test new players he is yet to see in action.
Akwa United qualified to play in the CAF Confederation Cup are scheduled to face Vita Club Mokanda of Republic of Congo in the preliminary round in February.
The first leg is slated for Brazzaville on the weekend of February 12- 14, 2016 before the blockbuster second leg in Uyo on the weekend of February 26-28, 2016. Goal
