Exclusive: NFF Pay Supersand Eagles #1,000 Per Day Camp Allowance

Supersand Eagles' players have lamented that they are not sure of getting their Copa Lagos tournament appearance fee.

They disclosed that they are supposed to be paid $1300 for appearing at the tournament, but are not even sure if that will be paid, as the federation have continued to lament lack of fund.

The also disclosed that their #2,000 per-day camp allowance was slashed to #1,000, so, instead of collecting #26,000 for the 13 days of camping, they got #13,000, which they fear may be the last they will be paid.

The Supersand Eagles won silver medal at the 2015 edition of the tourney, losing the gold medal to Ivory Coast, who have won it second consecutive time.

"They usually to give us #2,000 as camping allowance for each day but after spending 13 days which is supposed to amount to #26,000, they said no money and gave us #13,000"

"We used to earn 1300 dollars for Copa Lagos appearance fee, but as it stands, we don't even know if we will get paid at all."

"It seems they are not showing signs of improvement and encouragement about beach Soccer anymore."

They also made reference to former NFF president, Sani Lulu, saying the erstwhile leader had passion for the game.

They added that Mr. Sani Lulu would come to the camp to encourage and motivate them, but seems that culture is dying at the moment, as no one cares about the team, their entitlement are not given to them, and they are expected to perform miracles that will birth trophies.

"During Sanni Lulu's era, beach soccer enjoyed immensely from the NFF and made the game thrive back them but the story is different now."

"And they know that some of us who have spent time with the team must ask of money."

"At least we got almost 90 percent of what belonged to beach Soccer both monetary aspect and kits"

"Sanni Lulu would visit us at our Badagry camp and encourage the team, motivate the team but the story is different now."

"But I believe maybe they will change one day."

"And the team need a lot of long camping and also get new players to help the team. This is not regular football, it is beach soccer and it has its own peculiarity."
