Nigeria Professional Football League side, Akwa United have announced they have signed Chima Akas from relegated Sharks FC of Port Harcourt.
The team's media Officer, Uwem Ekoh, disclosed the information, adding that the home-based Eagles defender will
add to the value of the Nest of Champions outfit as they prepare for their continental championship.
Ekoh said: " We have signed Chima Akas from Sharks.”
“He is a very strong and reliable defender. We hope he will complement our rebuilding process in the team.”
Akwa United will play in the 2016 Caf Confederation Cup this year and they have a preliminary round first leg with Vital Club Mokanda of Congo next weekend in Brazzaville. Goal
