I Would Have Preferred Pep At United- Johan Cryuff

Barcelona legend, Johan Cruyff, has disclosed that Bayern Munich current manager, Pep Guardiola should have joined Manchester United instead of City.

Guardiola announced he will be joining City on a three-year contract when he leaves Bayern Munich at the end of the 2015-16 season.

Cruyff said that the Red Devils have a more easier structure for Pep to succeed, but also admitted that City have got the money for the Spaniard to equip his team when he assumes duty in the premier league next season.

"I would have liked Pep at United – they have more tradition than City," he told Esports Cope.

"It is a good moment to work at City, though, because they have the set-up, the money and the will to create a good team."

With Guardiola moving to City, the club have been heavily linked with a summer move for Neymar, while it was recently claimed that United had tabled a bid of €190 million for the Brazilian.

The Barca attacker's current deal is due to expire in 2018 and Cruyff is keen for the star to remain in Catalonia.

Cruyff said: "There is a mix between romanticism to always play for the same club and tempting offers from elsewhere. Money is very powerful.

"We already know Neymar's situation at Barca is very good, but there are always better [offers]. I hope he stays."
