Sunshine Stars of Akure forward, Tunde Adeniji has sealed a three year deal with a Bulgarian topside, PFC Levski Sofia on a three-year deal.
Adeniji was the second highest goal scorer in last season's Nigeria Professional Football league
season, behind former Warri Wolves forward, Gbolahan Salami.
Adeniji said sealing the deal was one of the best things that has happened to him as a footballer, adding that he will ensure he builds on experience for better performance.
The 19-year-old forward – also represented Nigeria at the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda, and he will now continue his career in the Bulgarian topflight till 2019.
“I want to confirm to you that I have joined Bulgarian side Levski Sofia,” Adeniji told Goal.
“This is one of the biggest things to have happened to me as a footballer and I know this is the right step to move forward in my career.
“Levski is a great club where I will do my utmost to develop myself and to make my contribution to the team's success.
“The way I've been welcomed by the players, the staff and the club’s employees was great. This club seems the right place for me to show my skills and character,” he concluded.
The former Sunshine Stars player trained with the Blues on Wednesday evening and is expected to address the media on Thursday morning.
He has been handed the no. 17 jersey and would challenge Borislav Tsonev, Justin Mengolo and Ventsislav Hristov for a regular place in Stoycho Stoev’s team.
