The Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung will by noon on Thursday, 24thMarch 2016 in Kaduna inaugurate the local organizing committee for the Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations that the country will host in December this year.
NFF 1st Vice President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, has been named the Chairman of the committee.
The Executive Committee of Nigeria Football Federation also named Hon. Suleiman Yahaya –Kwande, a Member of the House of Representatives and ranking member of the NFF Board, as the vice chairman.
The list made available to thenff.com also has Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, another ranking member of the NFF Board and chairman of top club, Enyimba FC as a member, alongside Mrs Margaret Icheen, Chairman of the Benue State Football Association.
Other members are Mr. Adeyinka Adeboye, Mr. Bolaji Yusuf, Mr Nansel Nimyel, Mr. Sonny Monidafe, Mr. Athanasius Okon and a former Nigeria junior international, Salisu Nakande.
Mr. Samson Adamu, chief organizer of the annual COPA Lagos Invitational Beach Soccer Tournament, is a member as well as Director of Organization, with NFF’s Acting Director of Competitions, Mr. Bola Oyeyode, as Secretary.
Former NFF President Anthony Kojo Williams will serve as Adviser to the committee.
