FIFA U20 Women World Cup: Nigeria Drawn With Japan, Spain And Canada

The Nigerian U20 women's national team, Falconets have been drawn in the same group with 2002 silver winning team, Canada, along with Japan and Spain for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup scheduled to hold in Papua New Guinea.

Nigeria won silver medal in the last edition of the tournament in Canada, after losing 1-0 to Germany
in the final of the game after extra time at the Olympic stadium in Montreal.

This year's edition, which is the eighth, has been scheduled to hold between November 13 to December 3, while the maiden edition kicked off in 2002.

Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala won the highest goal scorer award, after scoring seven goals, two above the German duo, Pauline Bremer and Sara Däbritz, and also won the golden ball award for the tournament.

The Peter Dedevbo's men will be hoping to surpass their previous records, by going all the way to win the title this time around.
