Former Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso, has given the technical committee of the Nigeria Football federation for finding a suitable interim manager for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt later this month.
Nigeria, who are two points behind group G leaders, Egypt, will welcome the seven-time Afcon
champions to the Kaduna stadium on the 25th of this month, in a bid to revive their qualification chances for the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.
Bosso added that the best Nigerians can do is to support and pray for Siasia and the team to succeed.
"According to what I know in the rules administratively, if there's any problem inn the national team technically, the technical director takes charge of the team, now, in the absence of that to happen, the next head coach of a national team will take over the national team."
"The next national team available is the U23, so Samson Siasia being the coach of the U23, given the job of the Super Eagles was a welcome idea."
All Nigerians needed to do is pray for the team under Siasia to succeed, I know he's experienced and I know he can deliver, so we just need to give him that support and prayers, he's going to succeed."
"We always know how to handle Egypt and all other North African teams, you know I've been in the national for 16 years, and it has always being easy for us to handle teams from the North African part because they start well but they don't finish well, they can always gas-out well.
"However, anyhting can change any day, football is becoming scientific now, but all I want the whole of Nigerians do is drum support for Siasia and the Super Eagles and we are all going to be there." Bosso concluded
