Nigeria's goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu, has said that Carl Ikeme absence from the Super Eagles squad against Egypt in Tuesday' must win Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Alexandria won't mar the performance of the Eagles.
Ikeme was in goal for Nigeria last Friday and made some crucial saves for the team, but the time is now for the second goalkeeper,
Daniel Akpeyi to prove he's worth the chance given to him by coach Samson Siasia.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers shot-stopper, who has returned to England is ruled out of the game billed for the Borg El- Arab Stadium in Alexandria due to ill- health.
"We are disappointed that Ikeme will not be part of the game in Alexandria," Agu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"He is a top class goalkeeper and a very reliable one too.
"But in Daniel and Ezenwa we have two quality goalkeepers who are good enough to step in against Egypt."
"We believe in them and there is no need to panic."
