Nigeria Professional Football League defending champions, Enyimba FC, are set to jet out of Nigeria on Sunday for the 2nd leg of their CAF African Champions league tie against Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia.
The Aba Elephants will go into Tuesday's game with a 3-0 advantage from the first leg from the first leg played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt via Mfon Udoh's hat trick.
The team left Akure for Lagos on Thursday day after they faced Sunshine Stars in a rescheduled NPFL Match Day 3 tie which they lost 2-1.
"It is the determination of Enyimba to get to the group stage of the Caf Champions League and with the kind of advantage that we had in the first leg, we don’t want to give anything to chance because we know North African clubs always have their own way of doing things to favour them. We are going to Sousse on a clean slate because it is the only way we can show them that we are ready for the task at hand,"
The Paul Aigbogun-led side watched as MFM slayed Wikki Tourist on Friday night after which they commenced their training for the night.
Enyimba and Sunshine Stars are the last two Nigerian clubs to get to the group stage of the Caf Champions League, with both sides reaching the semi finals in 2011 and 2012 respectively before they were beaten by North African opponents Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco and Al Ahly of Egypt 1-0 and 4-3 on aggregate in that order.
