Super Eagles Job Excites Kennedy Boboye

Abia Warriors head coach, Kennedy Boboye, has said that he was delighted to have been named as assistant coach of the Super Eagles.

This decision was reached by the Nigeria Football Federation's technical committee on Wednesday,
installing Salisu Yusuf as the national team's interim coach, to be assisted by the trio of Kennedy Boboye, Imama Amapakabo and Aloy Agu as the three time Afcon champions prepare to play Mali and Luxembourg in May.

The former Sunshine Stars of Akure manager disclosed that his dream has always been to handle the national team, and vowed to stick a beautiful brand of attacking football.

"I feel honoured getting a chance to handle the Super Eagles – to be honest, it is a dream come true,"

"This is a reward for my hardwork in the Nigeria Professional Football League and we pray for victory and the wherewithal to change the face of Nigerian football."

"With my coming on board with Imama [Amapakabo] and Salisu [Yusuf], we will ensure things work out and play attractive football."

"Our brand of football has to be offensive and also take the chances that come our way. We have been conceding goals in our recent international matches and that is not good for us too."

"We're going to work hard to be the best we can - that will make Nigerians happy and send a message that our appointment is not a fluke."  Goal
