Arsenal's Oxlade-Chamberlain Ruled Out Of Euro 2016

Arsenal forward, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, has been ruled out of the 2016 European championship, Euro 2016 due to a knee injury.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will be out for about eight weeks and won’t be back until early July, meanwhile,

his manager, Arsene Wenger has expressed disappointment at the former Southampton man's latest injury after he had worked hard to regain full fitness.

"We lost Oxlade-Chamberlain, and he will be out for six to eight weeks I think," he told reporters. "It's very sad. He was physically ready.

"There is no chance of the Euros for him. He will be back at the beginning of July."

Wenger also confirmed centre-back Per Mertesacker will play no further part this season due to a hamstring problem, but Santi Cazorla could return against Manchester City on Sunday.

"Cazorla came through an Under-21s' game well. The season is over for Mertesacker due to his hamstring."
