Coach Gbenga Ogunbote has terminated his contract with embattled Nigeria Professional Football League side, Giwa FC with immediate effect.
Ogunbote, who revived Shooting Stars of Ibadan's career last season didn't reveal his reasons for
quitting the Jos based club, but we can tell you that it was due to the ban placed on the club from the Nigeria Football Federation, and which was supported by the Confederation of African Football.
Up until Giwa FC was expelled, the team was just one spot above Ikorodu United, who were sitting in the 20th position on the log.
Sources have suggested that his next destination might be Shooting Stars or Akwa United.
This comes as a double blow to the Jos-based club, whose owner Chris Giwa has been involved in a power tussle with the Amaju Pinnick led Nigeria Football Federation in recent times.
Ogunbote's assistant, Abimbola Lawal also tendered his resignation letter.
Giwa FC will be looking to beef up their technical team in the next one week according to sources close to the club.
