Russia's Maria Sharapova may be missing the ongoing Wimbledon Open due to her two years suspension from the game by the International Tennis Federation earlier in the year, the former number one would not allow that depress her as she has enrolled herself for a two weeks program in the Harvard Business School.
Sharapova, who insisted that she will appeal the decision of the ITF at the Court of Arbitration for
Sports, CAS, tweeted the picture she took at the school, saying "Not sure how this happened but hey Harvard,! Can't wait to start the program," with some emojis at the end of her tweet.The five-time grand slam champion, who has lost majority of her endorsement deals since she admitted to taking Meldonium, which only became a banned substance on January 1, 2016 is said to be worth about $195 million, with "Brand Sharapova" even encompassing candy products.
Some of the deals she lost includes the one she describes as one of her proudest ever was that of the United Nations, plus Porsche and TAG Heuer.
Meanwhile, CAS is expected to reveal what its decision would be on the appeal of the Russain tennis powerhouse on July 18. But even if the ban is upheld, Sharapova appears already prepared for a life after tennis.
