World number one, Serena Williams, has progressed into the French Open quarter finals after overpowering Elina Svitolina 6-1 6-1 in their rain-delayed fourth-round match at the French Open.
The 34-year old american dominated from start to finish during the 62 minutes victory over 18th-seeded Ukrainian on Wednesday.
Serena's game was originally scheduled for Monday, but with the heavy downpours, it was cancelled for the first time in 16 years. Then, on Tuesday, more rain allowed for a total of only 2 hours of play around the grounds, and Williams' match was postponed again.
Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky beat Venus Williams 6-2 6-4, and unseeded Dutch player Kiki Bertens upset US 15th seed Madison Keys 7-6 (7-4) 6-3.
Later on Wednesday in Paris, Novak Djokovic completes his match against Roberto Bautista Agut, before Britain's Andy Murray plays Richard Gasquet.
