French international, Antonie Griezmann has been rewarded with the best player award at the just concluded Euro 2016 hosted by France.
The Atletico Madrid man, who also doubled as the highest goal scorer of the tournament with six goals failed to replicate his form in his side's previous games against Portugal in the final, which handed Cristiano Ronaldo and his men their first European title in history.
The 25-year old forward is also the recipient of the tournament's golden boot, scoring six goals, and tow assists- three to equal the records of Mitchel Platini and Cristiano Ronaldo, with 9 goal each.
"Antoine Griezmann was a threat in every game he played. He works hard for his team and possesses technique, vision and quality finishing," said Uefa chief technical officer Ioan Lupescu, who led the panel that picked the striker.
Alex Ferguson, the former Manchester United manager, was among Uefa's 13-strong panel of technical observers.
Meanwhile, Dimitri Payet, Antonie Griezmann are the only players from the French team to make the Euro 2016 best eleven, but Gareth Bale was excluded in the list.
The duo of Wales teammates, Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen, both midfielders, were named in the team of the tournament.
