Belgium coach, Marc Wilmots, has joined the list of coaches that quit their jobs after they crash out of the 2016 Euro championship, which was won by Portugal.
He follows the likes of England's Roy Hodgson and Spain's Vincent Del Bosque, who also failed to live up to the expectations of their country going into the tournament.
Belgium are currently occupying the second position of the latest FIFA rankings released on
Thursday, and apparently, this did not translate to result in their last outing in France, losing 3-1 to Wales in the last eight of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the Belgian FA president, Francois de Keersmaecker, has revealed that they relieved the former Belgian international of his duties because he failed to achieve the objectives of the FA going into the tournament.
The 47-year-old former Belgium international held the position for four years and managed 50 games.
