Chinedu Efugh Insists Heartland Won't Relegate

Heartland FC skipper, Chinedu Efugh, has insisted that the Naze Millionaires will not relegated at the end of the season, despite their current relegation status.

The Owerri based Nigeria Professional Football League side are currently 18th on the log, and the skipper believes with hard work and focus, his side will avoid the drop.

Efugh, who led his side to Federation Cup title in 2011 after beating Enyimba International 1-0 in the Federation Cup finals in Lagos said he's been talking to the players to wake up from their slumber and make this dream happen.

"I believe that we have what it takes to move out of the relegation zone. We are really working hard and by God's grace we shall move out of that zone," Efugh told Goal.

"As the leader of the team,  I've continued to speak each player on the importance of believing that we can don't. We know the situation we are in as we speak. Everyone in the team is truly working together and bearing a positive mindset that we come out of the danger zone.

"The fans are also worried, no one is happy with our current position and we have consistently make them believe with on and off the pitch know that we shall make them proud."
