League Management Company chairman, Shehu Dikko, has said that the Nigeria Professional Football league partnership with Star Lager Beer is the beginning of good things to come in the Nigerian topflight.
The NPFL-Star four-year deal was unveiled to the media and the stakeholders on Tuesday at Eko Hotel, and the NFF 2nd vice president has said that opportunities are still opened to other corporate
bodies to partner with the Nigerian league.
"We are excited about this partnership with Star Lager, and we hope to achieve more from this with the support of all stakeholders involved.
"Having Star as a major sponsor will certainly will certainly be the key to a bright future for professional football league in Nigeria."

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Breweries Marketing Director, Franco Maria-Maggi, has said that Nigerian Breweries are privileged to tap into the massive market the NPFL gives their brand, Star.
He added that they will continue to give their fans first class reasons to be at the stadia across the country to support their various NPFL clubs.
"We will be finding ways to use this unique partnership of the NPFL to give our consumers more reasons to enjoy the local football. Football in Nigeria and Star Lager have a proud past, a strong present and a very bright future in front of them."
