A former Super Eagles player, Furo Iyenemi has charged the Nigeria Football Federation authorities to treating the national team players badly.

Iyenemi, who shined for the Eagles at the 2000 Ghana/Nigeria Africa Cup of Nations explained that the NFF could get away with treating the league players anyhow, because the players would feel intimidated and won't speak for  the fear of been left out of the subsequent games.

The ex-Eagles defender further said that for the players both home and abroad to give their best for the national team, saying they must be Nigerian descents will not tolerate shabby treatment unlike the home grown players.

Iyenemi, 36, stressed that these European-born Nigerian players will not hesitate to dump Nigeria forever and concentrate on their club career in Europe if they are treated shabbily by the NFF.

“A player who plays in Nigeria maybe scared that if he's outspoken, he may not be invited again and therefore, he keeps his mouth shut but if you treat an European player of Nigerian decent like that, he can say don’t call me anymore”

“Some of these player will have no problem walking away if they are treated poorly to concentrate on their club career or even go back to their country” footballlive
