Flying Eagles player, Bernard Bulbwa has expressed excitement after his goal won the country the seventh African Youth Championship title for the seventh time.
Bulbwa struck in the 22nd minute of the keenly contested game against host nation, Senegal in the final of the CAF U-20 AYC in Dakar, a re-match of the opening game that ended 3-1 in favour of Nigeria on March 8.
The Flying Eagles hero said that his goal during the game may have wowed everyone was just a tip of an iceberg, that there are still many more he has to offer.
“I was really happy to have scored that goal that won the trophy for Nigeria and all of a sudden, everybody is talking about the goal and it makes me happy because I was able to contribute to the team”
“I still have a lot to offer; that is not my best goal and I think there will be more to come”
The 18 year old stunned spectators with his superb technique when he volleyed home the only goal in the finals of the 2015 AYC to gift Nigeria its 7th title on Sunday.
