Nigeria's Super Falcons ranks 33rd in the world; best in Africa

The latest FIFA rankings revealed that the Nigeria's women senior national team, Super Falcons dropped one spot of the table to the 33rd spot, unlike the 32nd, which the finished in February.

The current African champions have struggled with their continental games ahead of their qualifiers for the All African Games and the Olympics billed for this year.

The travelled to Bamako last weekend but were forced to a goalless draw, but will be hoping to redeem their image as well as qualify the country for the championship.

Despite dropping one spot, the nation's women senior team still remains the best in Africa with Ghana coming 20 spots after them inthe 52nd position and Cameroon in the 53rd position.

Nigeria ranks lower that all their counterparts in Group D of the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup billed for Canada  where they have USA (2), Australia (10) and Sweden (5).

In the overall world ranking, Europe still holds onto the top spot with Germany while World Cup hosts Canada climbed up one spot to the eight position.

Behind the Germany are USA (2nd, unchanged), France (3rd, unmoved) and Japan (4th, unmoved).

Meanwhile China PR have suffered a serious setback after a disastrous run of four draws and five defeats, which has seen them drop three places to 16th.
